What Is an EIN?

Do I Need an EIN?
Yes. Every foreign-owned LLC that must file Form 5472 needs an EIN. You cannot file without one.

Apply on the IRS website. Available Monday–Friday, 7am–10pm ET. You'll receive your EIN immediately upon completion.
Note: The online application requires a U.S. address and SSN/ITIN. Foreign applicants without these must use fax or mail.
