How to Get an EIN for Your Foreign-Owned LLC

Your LLC needs an Employer Identification Number (EIN) before filing Form 5472. Here's how to get one.

What Is an EIN?

An EIN (Employer Identification Number) is a 9-digit number the IRS assigns to business entities. It's like a Social Security Number for your LLC. You need it for tax filings, bank accounts, and more.

Do I Need an EIN?
