About TaxGuided

What TaxGuided Is
TaxGuided.com is an independent tax-education publisher. We cover U.S. federal and state tax law, China tax law (individual income tax, enterprise income tax, and State Taxation Administration guidance), and international tax topics including tax treaties, OECD frameworks, and the rules of other major jurisdictions.
Everything we publish is educational. TaxGuided is not a filing service, and nothing on this site is tax advice for your specific situation. See our disclaimer for the details.
Who Runs It
TaxGuided is operated by an IRS-registered tax professional. Registration can be verified through the IRS Return Preparer Office Directory. The same operator produces the RIPPA Tax Studio YouTube channel and the Tax Guided podcast on Spotify.
Our U.S. tax content follows the same competency framework tested in the IRS Special Enrollment Examination: individual taxation, business taxation, and representation, practice, and procedure. That framework shapes what we cover and how carefully we source it.
How We Make Money
TaxGuided is currently free to read. We may add subscription tiers or sponsorships in the future; if we do, we will say so plainly on this page.
We do not take commissions from tax-preparation companies, and no company pays us to recommend its products. Coverage decisions are made by the editorial side, not by revenue considerations — if a rule changes, we cover the change, regardless of who it helps or hurts.
Our Sister Site
TaxGuided shares an operator with ForeignLLCTax.com, which focuses on one specific niche: compliance for foreign-owned U.S. LLCs (Forms 5472, 1120, 1040-NR, and related filings). TaxGuided covers the broader landscape — federal, state, China, and international tax — and links to ForeignLLCTax.com where its narrower coverage goes deeper.
Corrections
Tax content has to be right. If you find an error on any page, please report it through our contact page with the page URL and a note about what is wrong. We aim to verify and correct confirmed errors within 5 business days. Our editorial standards describe how content is sourced and reviewed in the first place.
