Definition
Corporation Tax under CTA 2009 and CTA 2010 applies to UK-resident companies on worldwide profits and to non-UK-resident companies on UK PE profits. The main rate is 25 percent on profits above 250,000 GBP; small profits rate 19 percent below 50,000 GBP; marginal relief in between.
Examples
- A UK company with 100,000 GBP profits pays a marginal corporation tax rate between 19 and 25 percent.
